The Shanghai Navigation Forum 2008
The Shanghai Navigation Forum 2008 (Dec. 1-3, 2008) will be held immediately following the SIDEREUS event (Nov. 26-28, 2008).
This means that sector operators and visitors will be able to take in two major events related to the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) sector in less than a week’s time.
The Shanghai Navigation Forum is presented as the only international GNSS exhibition and conference officially approved by the Chinese government, which is also involved in organising the event.
SIDEREUS 2008 is organised in conjunction with CCA (China Consulting Association) which acts as the local organiser and National Councillor for China for the SIDEREUS Consortium.
In 2007, the Shanghai Navigation Forum attracted over 700 visitors (29% from outside China). Sponsors for the Forum included the Department of High & New Technology Development and Industrialization of the Ministry of Science & Technology, the Department of Map Management of the State Bureau of Surveying & Mapping and the Science & Technology Commission of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government.
