Filas takes part in the "Aerospace & Defence Meetings"
On March 19 and 20, 2008, Filas participated in an aerospace convention, held at the Turin Lingotto, focused on “Aerospace & Defence Meetings." The convention included a stand area reserved for business-to-business meetings with national and international aerospace enterprises.
A workshop entitled “Regional Strategy to Enhance the Competitiveness of the Aerospace Technological District of Regione Lazio” was held on the afternoon of the first day. The Centro Atena participated on behalf of Filas and presented the many activities that Filas implements to promote aerospace clusters.
Filas is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the DTA – The Aerospace Technology District, the first of its kind in Italy. The aerospace cluster was created by an agreement between the Lazio Region, with the operative support of Filas, the Ministry of the Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Education, University and Research in order to promote the full potential of the sector industry. The cluster was further strengthened by an agreement between the Lazio Region and Finmeccanica.
