SIDEREUS is not only about space.

It is about the many different everyday uses of aerospace and ICT technology and especially all the downmarket aerospace and related products and services, with a special focus on the GALILEO-based satellite navigation system.

This includes mass-market applications, safety of life applications and especially new and innovative applications and services.


LAND APPLICATIONS

  • Road transport - mass market and commercial vehicles;
  • Rail - passenger and freight transportation;
  • Personal mobility - mobile phones, navigators, PDAs, notebooks and other portable devices;
  • Professional group-specific applications - surveying, oil & gas mining, precision agriculture, mining and asset management.

MARINE APPLICATIONS
  • Marine navigation for IMO regulated vessels - All coastal and ocean navigation for commercial and passenger vessels over 300 gross tonnes;
  • Marine navigation for unregulated vessels - ocean and coastal navigation, port approach, port manoeuvres for unregulated merchant marine transport;
  • Marine engineering - dredging for the maintenance of channels and port areas requiring absolute accuracy, cable and pipe laying, and construction work;
  • Harbour docking - navigation and control systems for docking in ports and harbours;
